Abia State University (ABSU) Post-UTME / Direct Entry Screening 2026/2027
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must meet the following requirements:

| Minimum UTME Score | 150 and above |
| Institution Choice | ABSU as 1st Choice, 2nd Choice, or candidates willing to change to ABSU |
| Direct Entry | All Direct Entry candidates are eligible |
| O’Level Requirement | Minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects |
Eligible Candidates
- Candidates who selected ABSU as their First Choice Institution
- Candidates who selected ABSU as their Second Choice Institution
- Candidates who did not choose ABSU but wish to change to the university
- All Direct Entry (DE) candidates
- Candidates with at least five (5) O’Level credit passes as required by the university
Screening Method
Applicants are required to complete the following steps:
- Upload their UTME result to the ABSU Portal.
- Upload their O’Level result(s).
- Direct Entry candidates should upload their Degree Certificates where applicable.
- Ensure all required documents are uploaded on:
- The ABSU Portal
- The JAMB Portal
Failure to upload the required documents may affect admission consideration.

Application Procedure
Follow the steps below to complete your registration:
- Visit the ABSU official website:
www.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng - Register online for the screening exercise.
- Pay the screening fee of ₦2,000 through any approved payment channel.
- Complete and submit your screening registration form.

Important Notice
Candidates who fail to register for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise will not be considered for admission into Abia State University.
