How to Apply
Applicants are required to complete the process online through the university portal.
- Visit the university website.
- Complete the postgraduate application form online.
- Upload all required certificates in colour.
- Submit the completed form.
- Print the application slip for record purposes.

Admission Requirements
PhD Programmes
Applicants must possess:
- A Master’s Degree from FUT Minna or any recognized university.
- A minimum of 60% average, Grade B, or CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
Master’s Degree Programmes
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- A Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Lower Division.
- A Third Class Degree with at least two years of relevant professional experience (may be considered).
- HND (Lower Credit) plus PGD (Lower Credit) with at least one year relevant experience (may be considered).
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
Applicants must possess one of the following:
- Third Class Degree in a relevant discipline.
- HND (Lower Credit).
- OND (Lower Credit) with at least one year relevant experience.
Programme Duration

Important Notes
Applicants should carefully review the following conditions before submitting their applications.
- NYSC Certificate or Exemption Letter is compulsory.
- Candidates with PASS in Degree, PGD, HND, or OND are not eligible.
- Diploma holders with CGPA below 2.50 cannot apply for Master’s programmes.
- Some programmes may require a qualifying examination.

Additional Requirements

MTech / MEng / PhD Applicants
- Official academic transcripts must be sent to the Postgraduate School, FUT Minna.
PhD Applicants
- Upload a research proposal during application.
Referee Reports
- A minimum of two referees must submit their online referee reports before the application deadline.
Application Reminder
Ensure that all required documents, referee reports, and transcripts are submitted before Friday, 20 March 2026, as incomplete applications may not be considered.
