Programme Admission Requirements
1. PGD in Computer Science
Admission Requirements
Applicants must satisfy any of the following requirements:
- Possess a B.Sc. degree in a related discipline
- Hold an HND in Computer Science
2. M.Sc. in Computer Science
Admission Requirements
Applicants must:
- Possess a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division from a recognized university
- Have completed the mandatory one-year NYSC programme or possess an Exemption/Exclusion Certificate
Additional Eligible Categories
The following applicants may also be considered:
- Candidates with a Third Class degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus a PGD in Computer Science or related discipline
- HND holders in Computer Science or related disciplines with a PGD in Computer Science or related discipline
3. Ph.D. in Computer Science
Admission Requirements
Applicants must:
- Satisfy all M.Sc. admission requirements
- Possess an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science with at least 60% average from McPherson University or any approved institution
- Have completed the mandatory NYSC programme or possess an Exemption/Exclusion Certificate
Additional Information
M.Phil candidates with exceptional academic performance may be transferred to the Ph.D. programme after the Third Semester upon recommendation by the Head of Department.
4. Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Basic Admission Requirements
Candidates must possess:
- Five (5) O’Level credit passes including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Three other relevant subjects
Eligible Degree Holders
Applicants with B.A or B.Sc. degrees in the following disciplines may apply:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Banking
- Economics
- Insurance
- Marketing
- Business Administration
- Other related disciplines
Minimum Academic Requirement
Minimum of Second Class Lower Division
Professional Qualification Holders Eligible to Apply
HND holders with the following professional qualifications are eligible:
- ACA
- ACCA
- ANAN
- ACMA
- ACIT
- AIB
- ACIS
Other Eligible Applicants
The following categories may also apply:
- HND holders with PGD
- Applicants with professional qualifications plus PGD in any Management Science discipline
- Graduates from other disciplines with industrial work experience
NYSC Requirement
Applicants must have:
- Completed the NYSC programme, or
- Obtained an Exemption Certificate
Additional Requirements
- Post-qualification work experience is an added advantage
- Foreign applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the English Language for the MCU-MBA programme
5. M.Sc. in Accounting
Basic Admission Requirements
Candidates must possess five (5) O’Level credit passes including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Economics, Commerce, or Accounting
- Two other commercial or social science subjects
Eligible Degree Holders
Applicants with B.A or B.Sc. degrees in the following fields may apply:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Banking and Finance
- Economics
Additional Requirements
Applicants must:
- Possess a minimum of Second Class Lower Division
- Be graduates of approved and recognized universities
- Have completed the NYSC programme or possess an Exemption Certificate
