Eligibility Requirements
You are eligible to apply if you meet all of the following conditions:
- Chose Sokoto State University (SSU) as your First Choice institution in JAMB.
- Scored 150 or above in the 2026 UTME.
- Direct Entry (DE) candidates are also eligible to apply.
O’Level Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes, including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Results obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Uploaded their O’Level result(s) on JAMB CAPS before applying.
Important: Candidates who have not uploaded their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS should do so before completing their application.
Direct Entry (DE) Requirements
Direct Entry applicants are required to upload a scanned copy of their A’Level qualification on the SSU application portal.
Accepted qualifications include:
- IJMB
- NCE
- Diploma
- Any other approved A’Level qualification

Note: Transaction charges are not included in the application fee.
How to Apply
Follow these steps to complete your application:
- Visit the SSU application portal:
https://applicant.safapply.com/ssu - Enter your JAMB Registration Number to confirm your eligibility.
- Review the admission requirements for your chosen course.
- Create an account or log in if you already have one.
- Pay the ₦2,000 application fee.
- Complete the online application form.
- Carefully review all the information you entered.
- Submit your application.
Important Information
Before submitting your application, note the following:
- You can edit your application before final submission.
- You can monitor your payment status through the Transaction History section on your portal.
- The screening exercise is completely online.
- No Post-UTME examination will be conducted.
- Only candidates who successfully complete the online screening will be considered for admission.
