Admission Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
General Requirements
- Candidates must meet the matriculation requirements of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU).
- Candidates must also satisfy the departmental requirements for a 3-year undergraduate degree programme.
Academic Qualifications
Applicants must possess any of the following:
- NCE or equivalent qualification in two relevant teaching subjects with a minimum of Merit grade.
- Five (5) O’Level credit passes including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
Accepted O’Level Examination Bodies
The following examination results are acceptable:
- WAEC
- NECO
- NABTEB
- GCE
Additional Acceptable Qualifications
- Teachers Grade II Certificate with Credit or Merit.
- Relevant Diploma Certificates at Merit level, provided O’Level requirements are satisfied.

- Select “Sandwich”.
- Choose Institute of Education and Professional Studies.
- Enter your email address.
- Fill in the required personal details.
- Proceed with payment.
- Complete the online registration form.
- Print the completed application form.
Important Information
The AKSU Sandwich Programme is primarily designed as a vacation programme.
Programme Duration
- Five (5) contact periods equivalent to 5 years.
