The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Postgraduate Health Science Programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Application Fee: ₦50,000 (non-refundable)

University of Abuja (UNIABUJA / Yakubu Gowon University) Postgraduate Health Science Programmes Admission for 2025/2026 Session

Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Five O’Level credits including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
(Maximum of two sittings)
- MBBS degree with a minimum of four (4) years post-qualification experience
- Must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed:
- Part 1 or Part 2 of the National Postgraduate Medical College, or
- West African College of Surgeons
(particularly those specializing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology)
- Candidates with B.Sc degrees in the following fields may also apply:
- Natural Sciences
- Laboratory Sciences
- Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)
Meeting the minimum requirements does not automatically guarantee admission; selection may depend on programme capacity and academic evaluation.
How to Apply
- Visit the postgraduate application portal:
https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng - Pay the application fee via REMITA.
- Complete the online application form.
- Submit the application through the portal before the deadline.
Transcript Submission Instructions
Applicants are required to process and submit their academic transcripts as follows:
- Complete the Transcript Request (Form A2) on the application portal.
- Request your previous institution to send the transcript to the postgraduate school email.
- Ensure a hard copy is also sent to the postgraduate office.
